How dose the Windows XP default wallpaper scene look now?

Probably most of you know this picture from Windows XP. After all, the OS sold in more than 400 million copies from 2001 until 2006.

Although it looks computer generated, this is an actual photo taken by the American photographer Charles O’Rear in 1996, when he was driving on Highway 121.

Microsoft paid a lot of money for the copyright – it was not made official but it made O’Rear a very rich man.
